Dr. Jawad

Performing General Surgery, Dr. Jawad has been practicing in Ocala since 1981. Board certified through the American Board of Surgery and a member in good standing with many organizations including;

• Fellow of American College of Surgeons
• American Society of Bariatric Surgeons
• Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons

An expert in the laparoscopic field, Dr. Jawad has performed thousands of successful procedures. He specializes in laparoscopic gastric bypass,  adjustable Lap-Band procedure and Gastric Sleeve. He has presented both nationally and internationally over 40 papers on laparoscopic surgery.

• Surgery after Residency since 1979
• Performing Laparoscopic Surgery since 1989
• Bariatric Surgery experience since 1984
• Laparoscopic Bariatric Surgery experience since 1999
• Dr. Jawad has performed over 1550 Roux-en-y Gastric Bypasses
• Dr. Jawad has performed over 325 Gastric Banding surgeries since 2003
